Ham Radio Comparisons
Each of these exists because the honest answer is not the same for every operator.
The short answer
The three comparisons that change the most money are dipole against end fed half wave, resonant antenna against a tuner, and which coax grade you run. Radio choice matters far less than any of them.
Every page here compares two or three real options and says which reader each one suits, rather than declaring a winner. That is not fence sitting. A vertical genuinely beats a dipole on a small lot and genuinely loses on a big one, and a page that picks one is wrong for half the people reading it.
Licence and power
What upgrading actually buys you, and whether watts are the thing you are short of.

Antennas
The choice that changes a station more than any radio decision.
